Our speed tests are not based on a simple ping. Our pinging service sends an actual visit to our site, waits for the full page to load, then finally logs that response time. So remember, our response time reports include full page loads not just short little ping requests! We haven’t found anyone else that reports on page load response times, and we are proud of it!

Are Your Images Modified?

Yes. The original images are well over 600 pixels wide. In order to squeeze them in our “Normal Screen” page width setting, we need them to be 450px wide maximum. Therefore, we are forced to resize all of our screenshots to 450px wide.

We also apply a sharpening of the screen shot after resizing to clear up the text for easier reading.

The last modification we might do is circle outages in red.

We do not modify the actual data in any way.
